The artful Life

When we consider what it means to be an artist many of us think of words like, creative, passionate, and often “tortured”. The idea of living an artful life requires us to interpret the material of our daily lives as part of our construction of masterpiece. If we can learn to see the material that shows up as different mediums of colors, paper, or clay, we can interpret their usefulness to us in a much different way. No longer do we identify the pain as something we need to solve, but as a medium to work with. now, just like all artists, when we first begin this conscious process, we will probably not be very skillful with our tools. But, with genuine cultivated awarness, we can find a way to see it all as beautiful, even the mistakes can be turned into something useful. "We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents" is famously attributed to Bob Ross.
